Many Castle students choose to access courses at Derby College. It has been a popular destination for many years. We have developed strong links at Castle School with Derby College to ensure a good transitional experience into P16 provision.
As a school we visit the four different campuses (highlighted below) to prepare our students for new environments but to also experience the fantastic facilities each campus has. We support students with the application process and help identify which course is suitable for their next steps.
To help students get to know staff from Derby College they come and support us with our mock interview experience. We ask different course areas to come and deliver workshops to our students to help them gain a clear understanding around the different opportunities available to them.
