As part of World Book Day celebrations, Castle School’s Year 7 students enjoyed an exciting visit to Waterstones in Derby. The trip was active and engaging, giving pupils the chance to explore the store and redeem their World Book Day vouchers on a book of their choice.
After choosing their books, the group rounded off the visit with refreshments in the cosy Book Café, giving students time to chat, share their selections, and talk about what they enjoy reading.
It was a fantastic opportunity to promote a love of reading, build confidence in choosing books independently, and celebrate World Book Day together.
