As part of P16/Careers activities, Castle School students had a visit from St John Ambulance Service. Students explored the ambulance and learned all about the equipment—how it works and what it is used for.
The session was interactive and informative. Students had the opportunity to ask questions about the skills required to become a paramedic and the qualification pathways they would need to follow if they wished to pursue a career within the ambulance service.
The opportunity for Castle students to ask questions was invaluable. Everyone did have fabulous questions to ask, and all students were fully engaged and enthused by the session.
To top off the morning, students took great delight in sounding the different ambulance sirens used during emergency responses.
