At Castle School we offer an engaging curriculum designed to inspire and challenge our pupils to make outstanding progress in aspects of their life and learning. All students enter Castle via the Gateway. This pathway into the school underpins access to high quality support and outcomes for students in relation to their own individual starting point. We understand the comorbidity factors that are barriers to education as well as students varied experiences in other settings. We provide three supportive Gateway pathways into Castle School via a graduated response, in line with the needs of the individual. Within the three Gateway pathways there is a dedicated Inclusion team who works with the young people and all key stakeholders to secure a successful entry into education to Castle School.
Once students leave the Gateway they will be placed into one of two pathways Horizon or Aspire. In both pathways students will follow the National Curriculum with a strong emphasis on the development of social and emotional awareness, resilience and self-regulation.
